Kristin grew up in the outskirts of Washington, DC helping her aunt make and deliver wedding cakes throughout the area. Through this lead to an introduction, and eventually full time job coordinating the logistics and all event details for Andy Kushner Entertainment. Working with nationally renowned acts such as SoundConnection, SoundNation, and Marquise, was one of the best learning experiences of the special event industry she could have had. Being thrown into the mix of high-end special events and the back-end production of such, lead to a passion for the planning and coordinating side of the business.
Upon moving to Charleston in 2012, Kristin began working for a local entertainment booking agency, in a similar role, advancing the logistics of all live booked acts. While there, she completely re-structured the way information and details were managed between client-agency-artist, thus improving client and vendor relationships. During this time she assisted with managing live acts and festivals with The Gusto Group, including Spring Jam and Lowcountry Hoedown, allowing her the privilege to work with artists such as Ed Sheeran, Family of the Year, The Mowglis, Wild Feathers, and Leftover Salmon.
While in Charleston, Kristin has developed relationships with the local industry, strengthening knowledge of the local area and talent. She joined the local chapter of the International Special Events Society in 2012, and became a board member in 2015. She prides herself on maintaining great relationships with clients and vendors, ensuring that everyone is taken care of in the best way possible. For the past four years, she has been traveling nationally with Big Picture Media & Events, assisting with the setup and production of large-scale corporate conventions and meetings, and working with musical acts such as Locash Cowboys, Flo Rida, and The Band Perry.
Kristin’s knowledge and experience lies in onsite coordination and management of live production and entertainment. Her positive attitude, and love for music and people, has allowed her the opportunity to further develop and progress in the industry with her new role as Special Events Manager with JMC Charleston. Kristin looks forward to a long career with JMC, ensuring that every event is handled with the highest precision, and that everyone involved has an amazing time.
In her down time, you can usually find Kristin and her extremely misbehaved hound dog, Marlo, at the Palace Hotel downtown.
