A native Charlestonian, Mitchell has been in event design now for more than twenty years. Before forming JMC Charleston in 2004, Mitchell was a Senior Corporate Event Planner with Charleston Place Hotel, one of the premier hotels in the Orient-Express Hotels Ltd. collection.

     Producing in excess of 3 million dollars a year with his team in destination management services and catering, Mitchell was also the local emissary to charitable galas and events in Charleston that include the Gibbes Museum of Art, Historic Charleston Foundation, Spoleto Festival USA, the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, Ashley Hall and Mepkin Abbey.

     Mitchell came to Orient Express Hotels after opening the now Mobile Five Woodlands Resort and Inn in historic Summerville, South Carolina, helping them to achieve their Relaix & Chateau invitation and subsequent membership.

    Mitchell resides in Charleston, South Carolina and Maggie Valley, North Carolina with his partner Randall, Welsh Corgi Tulullah Francine (aka Princess Margaret) , and Boykin Spaniel Lord Lucca of Windemere. click here for profile
